Trailer Released For ESPN's “This Was The XFL” Documentary

ESPN has released a trailer for the upcoming 30 for 30 documentary “This Was the XFL” which will air on February 2nd at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

XFL was a professional American football league founded by WWE owner Vince McMahon in 1999. It launched in 2001 with eight teams with the intention of being a major professional sports league complement to the offseason of the National Football League, but was unable to find an audience and ceased operation after its debut season in 2001.

The XFL was widely viewed as a "colossal failure" the time of closure.
