New details are emerging around the rumored women's tournament coming to the WWE Network.
PWInsider says the WWE is tentatively calling the tournament “Women’s Classic,” and plans are to begin filming in early 2017 at Full Sail Live, where NXT tapes and the CWC was held. According to PWInsider, the venue hasn’t been reserved for specific dates, and some talent WWE plans to use reportedly were told to report to the Performance Center during the first week of January.
There are several performers who’ve received extended tryouts in the past have been contacted.
PWinsider specifically references include former Chikara Grand champion Kimber Lee, Heidi Lovelace, Nixon Newell and Evie. NXT talent such as Deonna Purrazzo and Rachel Ellering are also being discussed, although the report does not confirm that anyone has signed for the tournament as of yet.
