Is WWE Cutting Back on PPV's in 2017?

Since WWE's recent brand split, both Raw and SmackDown have had multiple brand exclusive pay-per-views now. Plus, WWE has started airing several live NXT Takeover specials, along with the big four PPV's.

With Raw and SmackDown both airing monthly pay-per-views, there’s plenty of content available for fans to enjoy.

The Wrestling News Observer reports that WWE plans to cut back on pay-per-views in 2017.

The official details haven’t been completely confirmed yet, but there is discussion about have less shows than the company originally planned.
