Dolph Ziggler Talks Possibility Of A WWE PPV In The UK & Plans Had He Lost His No Mercy Career Match

Dolph Ziggler recently took part in a media call with a number of British media outlets including The Sun to promote the upcoming WWE UK tour in November. Zigger was asked during the call about the possibility of WWE holding a future pay-per-view event in the UK, which excluding the live NXT TakeOver special last year hasn't happened since the 1992 SummerSlam from Wembley Arena in London.

Ziggler believes that the chances of a live WWE PPV being held in the country are getting closer.

“I think we are getting closer. The audience is so huge, great and loyal and we as performers think they have gone above and beyond to deserve it. I’m sure at some point it will be in the works, and it will be one of the greatest crowd responses we have ever had.”

Ziggler was asked if he had a backup plan if had to leave WWE had he lost his match against The Miz at No Mercy earlier this month:

“I’d been in talks with an agent for about a year and told him to have a couple of things ready after the date after the No Mercy pay-per-view just so I had my bases covered. But while I was prepared to go, I sure as hell never wanted to go. WWE is a business but [WWE chairman] Vince McMahon is a human being and if I went to him and said I need to leave because I can’t go higher on the card, I believe he would understand and let me go. I could go and do other things, too – I am fortunate that I have a stand-up career, while I have also gone on Fox News to talk politics, something I study, write about and have lots of ideas about. But I am still prepared to be the best WWE Superstar I can be, and I want to keep doing this.”
