WWE has helped by becoming an investor for a new stream player called FloSlam. Over the past many weeks, FloSports, which is a tech company that focuses on live streaming subscription content, has been in contact with a number of independent professional wrestling promotions discussing bringing their content to their platform. They have been streaming live events from different sports over the last year.
The company is based in Austin Texas, and they did unveil apps being made for RokuTV and AppleTV.
FloSports posted an announcement back in August that they received $21.2 million in new funding. WWE was one of their investors, along with Discover Communications, plus others. The idea behind this new stream player is offering the following
* Live Streamed Competitions (Top pro wrestling events around the world)
* Archived Event Library (Every live-streamed event available on demand)
* Original Documentaries (Exclusive documentaries featuring elite pro wrestlers)
PWInsider has heard from a lot of sources that news will be rolling out as early as this week in regards to relationships made with indie outlets along with what content is going to be shown.
