Update Regarding Mickie James's WWE Return And Her Future

As previously reported, it has been announced by WWE that Mickie James will make her return to the company at next month's NXT TakeOver: Toronto event to challenge Asuka for the NXT Women's Championship.

In an update, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that in terms of Mickie's future with WWE, she has only signed on to appear at this particular event; however, the possibility is still there for her to make future appearances, and there is also a rumor that she has been offered a job at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

This same report also states that there were apparently plans for WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus to make a return to the company at some point this year, possibly for this match; however, now that Stratus is pregnant with her second child, it appears as though WWE has opted to bring back Mickie instead.
