Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk had a well documented UFC journey. He trained for nearly two years before easily beaten by Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in September. CM Punk looked out of place, to say the least, in the octagon. CM Punk has said that he will not give up on the sport, but the opportunity to fight in the UFC again is unlikely.
UFC president made the following comments on UFC Tonight on FS1...
“Is CM Punk going to be a guy who is going to stay in the UFC and continue to fight? Probably not,” White said. “But he wanted to try it. I like the guy. I respect the guy. He wanted to fight in the UFC. He wanted to do it. He trained for two years, and he did it.”
Dana White also discussed Ronda Rousey, the female UFC divisions, GSP, the upcoming UFC 205, Jose Aldo's future, Dominic Cruz, UFC being sold for 4 billion, and more.
