During the WWE No Mercy Kickoff Show, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan confirmed reports that SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch would be unable to compete at tonight's No Mercy event "due to medical condition unrelated to in-ring competition."
Lynch had been scheduled to defend her title against Alexa Bliss at the event; however, it was announced that Bliss will instead compete against a replacement opponent, who has yet to be announced.
It was also announced that the title match originally scheduled to take place tonight will instead take place on the November 8th edition of SmackDown Live, which Bryan stated would originate from Glasgow, Scotland.
