Former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion and WWE Cruiserweight Classic standout Kota Ibushi recently turned down a full time WWE contract. However, when news broke that he would be teaming with Hideo Itami in the WWE NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, many started to wonder if he had changed his stance on a full time run with the company.
Well, Ibushi did an interview with Tokyo Sports and said there's zero chance he will go full-time with WWE but he is interested in doing more one-shot deals as it opens the door for other Japanese talents in WWE.
"Zero chance. Absolutely not. But these one shot deals are an absolute plus for all concerned. If I can be the precedent for this kind of deal, it opens the door for a lot of Japanese talent in WWE."
