WWE has announced in the event of injury or if a certain talent does not meet the strict weight requirements for the Cruiserweight Classic tournament then there will be 5 "Alternates" who can stand in at a moments notice.
The 5 alternates are Aaron Solow, Jesus Yurnet, Jessy Sorensen, Vandal Ortagun and Kai Katana. Sorensen wrestled for TNA until he suffered a neck injury, and Sorensen offered the following comment on being a CWC alternate:
“There was a time in my career where I didn’t think I would ever get to wrestle again. I had a pretty serious neck injury, so to be considered is an honor. I’ve been taking in the experience, but being an alternate just motivates me to be the guy who’s called up next and gets to be in the tournament next time. Still, it’s an honor to be an alternate. There are millions of people who want this opportunity, and I’m one of the people who got it.”
These five competitors hope to get a huge opportunity...
