Kurt Angle Will Not Be Returning To WWE

A number of top WWE officials confirmed to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer that Kurt Angle will not be returning to WWE.

There has been strong speculation that Angle would be returning to the company as part of the upcoming brand split between Raw and SmackDown later next month. 

The story originated on Mark Madden's Pittsburgh radio show on Monday when Angle said that Paul Levesque (Triple H) had called him, but that no deal was in place. 

It's unknown at this stage why a deal couldn't be reached. Speculation suggests it could be down to Angle's health at the age of 47 or even down to the number of dates he would want to work a year opposed to what the company wants.

Angle left WWE in 2006.
