The WWE are rumored to be bringing back some popular pay-per-views formats if a recently leaked document is to be believed. The PPV calendar which first appeared in a Reddit post shows No Mercy, Clash of Champions and Backlash as three of the events being added to the WWE's 2016 calendar.
It also lists which brand the events belong to once the upcoming WWE brand split goes into full effect. The leak which is only to be taken lightly at the moment actually makes a lot of sense, as a report earlier this month noted both Raw and SmackDown were getting their own PPV's and Clash of Champions was being considered as a Network exclusive although it appears Backlash will be the exclusive. It appears Clash of Champions is replacing Night of Champions.
The big four events, which include Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble will wrestlers from both brands.
Below is the assumed PPV schedule for the remainder of 2016:
The legitimacy of this post is being taken seriously Redditor who posted the leaked document has been correct on storylines in recent months, including the retirement of the Divas Championship and the upcoming brand split.
