New information has been released regarding the situation that took place following Sunday night's Money in the Bank event between Paige and Alberto Del Rio.
It was previously reported that Paige had been arrested sometime following the event following some sort of an incident with Del Rio, though these reports were denied via Twitter by Paige's mother, Saraya Knight.
According to this new information from ProWrestlingSheet.com, what took place was not a segment for a show such as "Total Divas" or "Swerved," but was indeed a real-life situation. The report states that Paige and Del Rio were arguing outside of Caesar's Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, the same city in which Money in the Bank took place on Sunday night. Following the altercation, Paige attempted to run across Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard, but ended up getting handcuffed and detained by police who were present "for her own safety."
From there, Paige was sent to a local medical facility for a mental evaluation, which is often referred to as a "Legal 2000." This means that authorities are allowed to detain an individual who may be a danger to either themselves or other individuals.
It has also been confirmed that no charges have been filed against Paige and WWE is still investigating the matter.
As previously reported, WWE has announced that Paige will compete on tonight's edition of Raw, challenging Charlotte for the Women's Championship.
