WWE is reportedly reaching out to a number former stars to make their returns to Raw or SmackDown when the brands for both show split in July.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter tweeted on Twitter that WWE has been calling former talent about coming back to the company. The split will reportedly include a separate touring schedule and the company feels they need some big notable names to help draw interest in each show in addition to their current talent.
“[WWE is] calling lots of 40+ year old guys to return for the new era,” he tweeted.
The draft is set to take place on the July 11th edition of Raw, with SmackDown going live on Tuesday nights starting July 19th.
