Following his hospitalization in Florida earlier today, it has now been confirmed that MMA fighter Kimbo Slice has passed away at the age of 42. The cause of death, according to multiple outlets, is said to be heart failure.
WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo, who previously called MMA fights prior to his move to WWE, has posted the following on his official Twitter page:
2016 = ANNUS HORRIBILUS!!!— Mauro Ranallo (@mauroranallo) June 7, 2016
It was thanks to Kimbo's popularity that I was able to be a part of the first major network MMA broadcast team. He will be missed!— Mauro Ranallo (@mauroranallo) June 7, 2016
