Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan is working on a new series about the world of women’s wrestling, according to Diva Dirt.
GLOW is set in the 1980s and follows an actress who gets a role on the cult women’s show. The pilot was written by Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive. Kohan will executive produce.
The reason the upcoming WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament is not being taped on separate nights is because of a cost-cutting measure. The events will be filmed over the course of one week. The 10-week series begins airing on the WWE Network on July 23, with the live finale airing September 14th.
