WWE Officially Changes The Name Of The Global Cruiserweight Series

WWE is now referring to the ongoing Global Cruiserweight Series as "The Cruiserweight Classic".
As of now, there is no word on why the company has decided to change the name of the tournament. As previously reported, The Cruiserweight Classic will begin airing on July 13th at 9:00 PM on the WWE Network and will feature wrestlers that are not currently signed to the company or its NXT developmental system.
