As previously reported, WWE Superstar Enzo Amore suffered a serious injury during the opening match at Sunday night's WWE Payback event, which saw him and Colin Cassady face The Vaudevillains in the final match of the WWE Tag Team Championship Number-One Contenders tournament. During the match, Simon Gotch attempted to throw Amore out of the ring; however, Amore's head snapped back on the middle rope, which also caused his head to hit the ring mat. Amore then fell out of the ring and was unresponsive for a short amount of time, which caused the referee to throw up the "X" symbol and call off the match, with no winner being announced. Medical personnel then came to ringside and placed Amore on a stretcher, as well as putting a neck brace on him. Michael Cole announced later in the broadcast that Amore was "talking and able to move his extremities."
The latest update is that Amore has officially been diagnosed with a concussion and that all other tests that have been performed on him have been deemed "negative," according to a further announcement made by Cole.
