The 4/13/16 episode of NXT is the first of a series of tapings that come from WrestleMania Axxess. Corey Graves and Tom Phillips are on the commentary desk.
The show begins with NXT General Manager William Regal. He thanks the fans for their support that made NXT Takeover: Dallas so successful. He gives us a run through of tonight's card and says that Nakamura and Bayley will both be in action.
Austin Aries vs Angelo Dawkins
They lock up and Dawkins gets the upperhand with a wristlock. Aries turns it into a headlock but Dawkins slams him to the mat. Aries goes for a couple of pinning combinations but is unsuccessful. Arm drags from Aries drop Dawkins to the mat before a dropkick. Dawkins fights back when the referee is telling Aries to get off of Aries and has his opponent grounded. Dawkins has Aries in the corner and goes for a splash but Aries moves. Neckbreaker on the middle rope from Aries and then a missile dropkick. Aries picks up the win after he throws Dawkins off of the ropes and connects with a rolling elbow.
Winner: Austin Aries
Samoa Joe is backstage and says nothing has changed. He will continue to try and accomplish his mission.
Alexa Bliss vs Tessa BlanchardÂ
Lots of holds to start this match but things finally get physical with a couple of slams from Blanchard. Bliss takes control, though, and slams her face on the floor whilst standing on her back. Blanchard gets out and takes out Bliss with a couple of clotheslines, but Bliss gets a quick reversal and scores the win with knees to the gut of Blanchard.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
Finn Balor is backstage for an interview. He says that he knows the talent Nakamura has, and when Nakamura is ready, he will be waiting.
Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano vs The Vaudevillains
Gotch and Gargano start things off. Gotch charges for his opponent but Gargano dodges and takes him out with an armdrag. Gotch manages to tag in English and he takes control before Gargano gets a kick to the head in. Ciampa is tagged in and the duo double team English with a double kick to the head. Ciampa forces English outside of the ring, Gargano tags himself in and dives through the ropes onto The Vaudevillains. The former tag team champs get the upper hand when Gotch causes a distraction on Gargano. They continue to beat down on Johnny Wrestling. He finally reaches the tag to Ciampa and he taks out both English and Gotch. Ciampa gets English on the top rope and hits DDT for a 2 count. Gotch gets a blind tag in and rolls up Ciampa for 2. Meanwhile, Gargano takes out English with another dive to the outside. Ciampa locks in an arm bar and forces Gotch to tap.
Winners: Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano
Tucker Knight vs Baron Corbin
They lock up and Corbin forces Knight into the corner. Corbin starts to hit Knight and slams his face off the turnbuckle. Knight gets the upper hand with a dropkick and some more offence but Corbin soon hits the End of Days.
Winner: Baron Corbin
American Alpha are shown earlier on in the day standing in the arena talking about their tag title win. Enzo and Cass come in and say they have been in the Tag Team Division longer than anyone in NXT, but they have never been in the ring with AA. Enzo challenges them to a match and asks them to name a time and a place.Â
Bayley vs Liv Morgan
The former womens champ takes control from the off and hits an elbow to the back of Morgan. Bayley goes for a knee but Morgan moves out the way. Morgan bounces her feet off the ropes and round Bayley's head into a hurricarana. Both competitors getting in good offence and Bayley hits the Bayley to Belly out of nowhere for the win.Â
Winner: Bayley
Post match, she grabs a mic. She says a true champion is measured by how many times they get back up. She puts over Asuka and says that she is angry. Bayley asks the fans not to feel sorry for her as she will be champion again.
It is announced that American Alpha will face Enzo and Cass next week. Also next week, Samoa Joe vs Apollo Crews.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Tye DillingerÂ
Nakamura teases kicks early on as Dillinger backs off. Dillinger taunts him and says he is the perfect 10. The fans chant 'He's 11!' in reference to Nakamura. After some grappling Dillinger gets right in Nakamura's face and pushes 10 fingers in his face. Nakamura looks confused and asks the referee what that means. Dillinger asks Nakamura to bring it before The King of Strong Style does the same. Nakamura takes control of the match but Dillinger gets the upper hand out of nowhere with a superkick. The Perfect 10 keeps driving his knee into the back of Nakamura. Nakamura goes for a which Dillinger avoids, same happens vice versa before Nakamura finally connects. Nakamura lies Dillinger on the top rope and hits him in the gut with his knees. Nakamura then hits Kinshasa for the victory. Nakamura wins his debut TV match.

Post match, Nakamura celebrates with the crowd as NXT goes off the air.
