Former TNA Wrestling Knockouts Champion and Knockouts Tag Team Champion Velvet Sky could be set to part ways from TNA once again. Her current contract expires some time this month and as of right now it looks as though she may not sign a new deal with the company.
Velvet Sky debuted with TNA back in 2007 when they first launched the Knockouts Division and has been one of their most popular and successful Knockouts ever since, although she has parted ways from the promotion a few times over the years. Although some might assume that she would be bound for WWE, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter speculates that this may not necessarily be the case. He notes that right now they're looking for females who are exceptional in-ring performers along the lines of Asuka, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, etc., as seen both on the main roster and down in the NXT developmental territory. But that's not to say that Velvet couldn't be brought in for a managerial role or possibly even as a wrestler.
And of course there is still a chance that she could just end up re-signing with TNA, or possibly even stepping away from the public eye for a while, as she has done before.
