The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is apparently looking at inducting Snoop Dogg into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2016 induction ceremony the night before WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas. Initial reports stated that this was a rumor at first, but it now looks like WWE is indeed working on finalizing plans for the induction to take place. Snoop Dogg, who is the first cousin of WWE Diva Sasha Banks, has made numerous appearances on WWE programming over the years. It had been previously reported that Regis Philbin was being considered as this year's celebrity inductee; however, there currently is no word on why this may no longer be happening.
Furthermore, The Wrestling Observer is also reporting that WWE is looking at presenting former longtime "Good Morning America" anchor Joan Lunden with the Warrior Award as part of the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Lunden partnered with WWE and the Susan G. Komen Foundation in 2014 for WWE's breast cancer awareness efforts, as Lunden herself is a breast cancer survivor, having previously battled the triple negative form of the disease.
