WWE officials have shown interest in the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
It is believed WWE are high on Okada because of his size, standing at a billed 6-foot-3. WWE will have to fight off NJPW who have offered him a five-year deal to remain with the company, but it's not known if he has accepted and it's likely they will offer him more money to retain his loyalty.
WWE also have interest in names from other Japanese organizations, Lucha Underground and AAA. It's understood they are trying to lure a top-name from Lucha Underground who has never worked for a mainstream US organization and is unhappy with his position in Lucha Underground.
