Japanese Wrestling Legend Hayabusa Passes Away

Tokyo Sports reports that Hayabusa (Eiji Ezaki) was found dead on Thursday due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding on the brain).

The Japanese high-flying icon who made his name during the underground Japanese wrestling scene of the 90's had has his career cut short in 2001 when he cracked two of his vertebrae attempting a springboard moonsault in a match and ended up paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair for over a decade.

Just last year, Hayabusa was able to walk the to the ring unassisted for the first time since the accident.
