The CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has announced that Shane McMahon, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H have all been added to the March 14th WWE Raw event that will be taking place at the venue.
The New York Post recently published an article regarding Shane McMahon's surprise return to WWE, more specifically looking at what he could potentially bring to the company itself thanks to the myriad of executive experience he obtained since leaving WWE back in 2010. A WWE source told the New York Post that Shane is "digital, international and a helluva performer. I’ve never heard anyone who’s worked with him say a bad word about him"; however, a spokesperson with WWE later confirmed that Shane's official role with the company is that of just "playing a character on a TV show."
During a recent interview with the Huffington Post, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was asked about the possibility of WWE holding WrestleMania in the United Kingdom. Ross had the following to say regarding the subject:
"I don’t have a definite answer, but I have an opinion, and I think as the WWE continues to give more dependence on their network for all the product disruption, I think the chances increase every year that this will happen. There’s no doubt that the WWE WrestleMania event could sell out any stadium in the country. I’m not saying that in an egocentric way, that is my opinion. They did it before with SummerSlam years ago and as Gorilla Monsoon would say, the fans were hanging from the rafters!"
