2K Games has revealed that the WWE 2K16 "Hall of Fame Showcase" downloadable content will launch on February 23rd for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3 gaming consoles. This will be the final round of downloadable content for the game, and will contain many different matches featuring various playable legends and other characters, which will then be able to be used in the game itself. The matches for this content are as follows (in no particular order):
--"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Jake "the Snake" Roberts
--Rikishi vs. The Rock
--Alundra Blayze vs. Paige
--Larry Zbyszko and Arn Anderson vs. Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat and Dustin Rhodes
--Ric Flair vs. Tatsumi Fujinami
--The Bushwhackers vs. The Natural Disasters
--Harlem Heat vs. The Outsiders
The content will cost $9.99 or can be downloaded for free for those who have purchased the game's Season Pass.
According to a report from the Memphis Commercial Appeal, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "the King" Lawler is planning on opening a wrestling-themed bar and grill. The only details that are currently available at this time is that the establishment will be located on Memphis' legendary Beale Street.
It was reported on the latest edition of Dave Meltzer's "Wrestling Observer Radio" that NXT Champion Finn Balor is currently expected to make his debut with WWE's main roster sometime at the end of 2016, as right now, the company reportedly has short-term plans to keep Balor as the face of the NXT brand. In regards to Samoa Joe, current plans are to have him debut with WWE's main roster sometime after WrestleMania 32, possibly even the night after the event itself on Raw; however, this is something that could change in the event that Joe defeats Balor for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.
