WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter recently took part in an interview with The Dallas Observer to promote the upcoming WrestleMania 32 event, which will take place in Dallas, Texas. Slaughter was asked about a number of topics, including who he would like to see inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2016:
"I’m hoping that the Freebirds get inducted into the Hall of Fame, especially it being here in Dallas. They try to recognize the local talents that the fans remember. I never tangled with the Freebirds themselves but may have crossed paths with Michael Hayes in a Battle Royale. Michael Hayes was just so good on the microphone. He loved to sing. I think his dream was to be a rock ‘n' roller."
As previously reported, the Fabulous Freebirds are rumored to be a lock for this year's WWE Hall of Fame, though it has not yet been officially confirmed that they will be inducted.
