The official WWE website revealed that Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose suffered a gash to the top of his head that required six staples to close the wound. He sustained the injury during a cage match on Monday's WWE Raw.

Ambrose is scheduled to works tonight's Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Title on live WWE Super Smackdown. It is believed at this stage he will be able to compete although, we will keep you updated if that changes.
