TNA President Dixie Carter reportedly informed TNA talent of the company's new television deal with POP TV until Thursday, prior to the announcement being made online in a press release. It is understood that the deal was finalized by officials sometime last week.
TNA had plans to hold TV taping in New York City, but those plans have now been scrapped. Instead, TNA will be announcing a TV taping between the December India TV tapings and the U.K tour tapings, which takes place in late January.
The debut broadcast of Impact Wrestling on POP TV will take place on Tuesday January 5, 2016, which will be a live broadcast. POP TV's President Brad Schwartz noted that the show has been moved from Wednesday to Tuesday as they believe more people will tune in.
