Former WCW Women's Champion Akira Hokuto Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

Legendary Japanese women's wrestler Akira Hokuto, who holds the distinction of being the only woman to ever hold the WCW Women's Championship, recently announced on her official blog that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The news was later confirmed by Huffington Post Japan, as well as Hokuto's former manager, Sonny Onoo, on his official Facebook page. Onoo has since shared a post stating that Hokuto underwent surgery on September 24th to remove a malignant tumor from her right breast.
