WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is reportedly “freaking out” over the recent decline in WWE ratings according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live.
While this seems to be a sudden reaction to the the dismal Monday Night Raw ratings of the last few weeks it should be noted McMahon tends to be unhappy every year around this time with the new football season returning.
If Raw's rating wasn't bad enough the 9/22 edition of Total Divas on E! drew just 795,000 viewers, well below what the show had been pulling in the seasons previous.
WWE have in the past reacted to such declines with something big to bring back viewers, it will be interesting to see what the company has planned.Â
Today, WWE announced  that WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Ric Flair, as well as Brock Lesnar’s Hell in a Cell opponent, The Undertaker will all be returning on the Oct. 19 Raw, scheduled to emanate live from Dallas — the home city of WrestleMania 32, this will be one show in which a strong rating is expected.
What can WWE do to boost their numbers?
