Roderick Strong Pulled From ROH World Title Match in Las Vegas
Posted By: Caylon Knox on Jul 08, 2015
Former Ring of Honor World Champion Roderick Strong has been pulled from the upcoming "Vegas Wild Card" Match for the ROH World Title. The following comes from ROHWrestling.com:
"Due to a scheduling conflict, the #1 contender to the ROH World Championship, “Mr ROH” Roderick Strong will not be able to take part in the “Vegas Wild Card” Main Event. Strong was initially signed to team with ROH World & World Television Champion Jay Lethal & Moose to take on Former ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe, “The 24/7 Party” Dalton Castle, and Kyle O’Reilly. Ring of Honor is allowing Strong to honor his commitment to perform in the United Kingdom.
ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness has been feverishly responding to texts, calls and emails from various ROH stars who want the chance to take part in special main event. Who would you like to see replace Roderick Strong? Could it be The Kingdom’s Adam Cole? As a former ROH World Champion, he certainly has the resume to be deserving of this opportunity. Could one of the competitors from the tournament to determine the #1 Contender to the ROH World Television Title step out and jump into this spot? Could a New Japan superstar be returning? You will want to stay turned to www.rohwrestling.com to find out which superstar will be named the substitute in this great main event."
