TNA's Bob Ryder, known for his outspoken approach may have caused TNA another P.R nightmare. The top executive recently posted on the "TNA Mecca" forum Thursday night responding to a report that Ring of Honor did not want to work with TNA on an invasion angle now that both are on Destination America, hence why the company is now working with Global Force Wrestling instead:
Ryder noted ROH were not interested but maybe TNA should be "aggressive" and go after their talent:
“We have had talks various times to see if ROH would want to do business with us. They weren’t interested at the time. Maybe we should get aggressive and go after some of their unsigned talent? That would be interesting,” Ryder said.
He also noted ROH’s Roderick Strong and ROH World Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal were allegedly backstage at a recent TNA event. Both are former TNA talent but there is no indication they are set to return.
So @brydertna was on TNA Mecca tonight acting as if he hadn't already been soliciting ROH talent for several months. pic.twitter.com/jZi9B2qAJN
