WWE.com is reporting that Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan has not been medically cleared to compete at tonight's Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Bryan was scheduled to defend the Intercontinental Title against five-time I.C. Champion Wade "Bad News" Barrett.

WWE.com has learned that Daniel Bryan is medically unable to compete tonight at WWE Extreme Rules. Therefore, there will be no Intercontinental Championship defense.
