Japanese wrestling star and former Ring of Honor World Champion Takeshi Morishima has made the decision to retire from in-ring competition according to the Pro Wrestling NOAH promotion's official website.
American wrestling fans may recall that Morishima enjoyed an eight-month reign with the ROH World Championship from February to October of 2007. He has also achieved success in his come country of Japan in the NOAH organization, becoming a three-time NOAH Global Honored Crown Heavyweight Champion.
The reason for his retirement is due to health issues. He recently underwent a blood test that revealed that he may have diabetes and decided to retire from the ring following his doctor's recommendation.
