The Latest Update On AJ Lee’s Retirement From WWE

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting AJ Lee ultimately "retired" from WWE as the dynamics of her relationship with the company changed due to the lawsuit WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann took out against her husband, former WWE Superstar CM Punk.

WWE and AJ were on good terms and able to keep their differences aside despite Punk’s explosive fallout with WWE last year but the situation changed considerably in recent weeks and she likely went into ‘retirement’ to get out of the remainder of her WWE contract.

AJ will be unable to compete for any other wrestling company until her deal expires.
