ROH To Represent United States In Mexican Promotion AAA's Lucha Libre World Cup

Mexican promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), the biggest wrestling promotion in Mexico, called a press conference on Tuesday to announce the return of Rey Mysterio, it was attended by Rey as well as Alberto Él Patron and Mysteziz, the former Sin Cara. During this press conference AAA also announced a new trios tournament titled Torneo Internacional de Lucha Libre which translates to Lucha Libre World Cup, and that Mysterio, Patron and Mysteziz would form Team AAA. There will also be a team from Japan, a legends team and there is expected to be an AAA team formed of heels. They also announced that there would be two teams formed of Americans, one being represented by "top US wrestling promotion Ring of Honor". During the press conference it was said that Alberto Él Patron invited ROH to participate. This could potentially be the start of a new working agreement between ROH and AAA which could lead to ROH having agreements with both them and their already existing agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
