Diamond Dallas Page Released From Hospital and Confirms He'll Need Surgery

Diamond Dallas Page has been released from the hospital but will likely have throat surgery on Thursday or Friday after being g diagnosed with Subglottic Tracheitis. He made the following post on Facebook:

I wanted to tell you all, YOU actually Choked me up with so many kind loving words... I know this epilogue/blog will seem like my own Add ALL over the place talking about this movie but I'm about to work it into this story... you're going to have to TRUST me here. This is the most Emotional piece I've ever written and it's TOTALLY in response to what ALL of YOU have written to me over the last 48 hours... Now if you're one of those people and I know who you are because I've one of you most of my LIFE ... who are say wait a minute this shit is way to long... STOP reading right now because it's going to get long but if your ready to LEARN... GROWN... THINK... Get INSPIRED TO BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE... READ ON my Friends...

My favorite movie for the last 40 years has always been Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful LIFE" I first saw this movie when I was 18 years old and it became the Defining IMPACT in my Life... I remember where I was and exactly what time is was when the movie ended... To me this movie has always been the greatest path of Man's struggles of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly... The character George Bailey was played by the Amazing (Jimmy Steward) and he was everything you want in a leading man to be... He was tall and handsome, He was Humble, Loyal and Hard Working and came from a great loving family... He had HUGE DREAMS TO SEE THE WORLD and NOTHING was going to STOP him... but because of his love of his family and LIFE constantly getting in the way he Never gets to leave this one horse town of Bedford Falls... Still, he makes a good name for himself working for his dad at the Bailey Building and Loan... When his dad finally dies, George as sad as he is about his dad's death, also see's this as the perfect opportunity to FINALLY get out of this one horse town but as LIFE would happen right as George he is pulling out of the town with his new wife Mary, played the beautiful Donna Reed, they are side tracked because it's BLACK FRIDAY (not the Thanksgiving sale) but the Real Black Friday, the day the Stock Market Crashed and the beginning of the GREAT DEPRESSION... Does George with a pocket full of cash just race out of town... Hell no he heads back to the Building and LOAN where there's a shitload of very scared people... The bank has already cleaned the money out of the building... So George basically gives them his 2 thousand dollars (well it's Actually his new wife Mary who says I've got $2000 to help, more like $2,000,000 dollars back in those days and they loan all of their BigDream/wedding/honeymoon money to account holders and this all happens on their wedding night (George has Mary... I have Brenda) Amazing women can help grow Amazing men... My point is the character, George Bailey is the greatest example of what we are ALL capable of as human beings... Throughout the movie George is tested and ends up in some dark places ... He gets LOST like we all do...

Sometimes WE ALL JUST GET LOST (including me) We lose our way, it's a part of LIFE... We get Lost... We lose our Way... We make Mistakes... We Fall Down...
YOU NEED to Know that it's all Ok...

It's not the Lost way or the Mistakes or Falling Down that's the enemy its What we do WITH the Lost, Mistakes and Falling Down... THE QUESTION IS... What do YOU LEARN from them.
By the last act of the movie George is in a very dark spot... He wants to take his OWN LIFE but instead of jumping off the bridge to end his life, another person jumps off the bridge to end his life... so what does our Hero do ... You know what he does... George jumps in the river to save the drowning mans life... No matter what happens in our lives, our true character will always shine through...

And you can Grow YOUR OWN CHARACTER... YOU REALLY CAN... I DO IT EVERYDAY... YOU Can BUILD your CHARACTER to be the Person YOU WANT TO BE... but it's just NOT going to Happen over night YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO WORK FOR IT!!! I've been working on becoming the person I WANT TO BE all my LIFE...
So after George saves the man, actually an Angel/Clarence, he decides he doesn't want to end his life anymore... He goes a step further and he wishes he has Never Been Born! and with that the Angel/Clarence, the man who's life George saves from the waters gives him his wish with the help of GOD... HE'S NEVER BEEN BORN...
Each ONE OF US touch so many lives on so many levels and we really touch so many LIVES Especially on these type of DDPYOGA pages...
YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE's LIFE

He has no Wife he loved so Dearly...

Each and Everyone one of US are SO IMPORTANT to Each other and to Our Families... It's so IMPORTANT that we touch as many Lives as possible in a Positive way... with Kind gestures... with some loving encouragement... with something as simple as clicking a LIKE... That LIKE click is something so simple but it literally can make someone feel Good about themselves...
That's ALL it takes sometimes smile emoticon IT MEANS SO MUCH TO PEOPLE and IT MAKES YOU FEEL SO GOOD ABOUT YOU...

I have Found that THERE IS NO GREATER FEELING THAN INSPIRING SOMEON TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES...

At the end of the movie George realizes that

NEVER BEING BORN...
Is absolutely the worst thing he could've ever asked for... He begs GOD to Please bring him back to his LIFE... He no longer Cares that the Government is coming to put him in JAIL because there was a bank error and he owes the bank $8,000 dollars (it might as well be $800,000 thousand dollars in those days) the catch is it wasn't even George's fault, it was his Uncle Billy's (a half wit, slow uncle but loving character) but being the Man of Character George is he knows he has to take the fall for Uncle Billy... cause Billy could never handle it so he's ready to take the fall, because that is the person George IS... George is the backbone of the Entire town and as he's standing at the bridge praying to GOD (up till this moment George has never really been a man to ask GOD for anything he's just lived his life like he knows him personally) he begs GOD to please give him back his life and then through the brilliance Frank Capra (the director) it starts to snow again and suddenly George realizes OMG He's back in His life... He runs through town The Happiest Man in the World... Finally getting to his home and the Bank Examiner and the Cops are waiting there to arrest him... And he couldn't give a shit he's so happy... ALL George wants is to see his KIDS again and have them hang all over his body as he runs down the stairs looking for with Mary... Suddenly his house is flooded with neighbors/friends streaming in the door and his house keeper says... Mr. George, Mary's been out running all over town telling everyone YOU WERE IN TROUBLE AND YOU NEEDED HELP AND THE WHOLE TOWN IS COMING HERE TO HELP YOU OUT!!!

Then Mary comes running through the doors, she throws her arms around George saying everyones coming George (he has no idea what the hell she's talking about) the whole town heard your in trouble and everyone is coming to HELP YOU and in strolls a man with laundry basket full of cash... George has the his Kids hanging all over him with Mary hanging on his arm and his Friends he sees every day. Friends he grew up with are coming out of the wood work to help him... Friends he hasn't seen or talk to in Years are all coming out of nowhere... Everyone has come to Help there buddy George Bailey... Then his brother, who is a War Hero and his Mom, who were with the president in DC that afternoon, show up after flying through a SNOW BLIZZARD to get there! George needed his brother and his mom and they were going to be there no matter what!
I thought to myself, 40 years ago at 18 years old (a kid weeping his eyes the same way I'm doing right now at 58 writing this blog) I remember thinking to myself at 18 WOW that's a Man I want to come to emulate... A Man I would Love to be like... No not be like ... That's the Man I want to be... And had no idea how I was going to follow in George's footsteps... So I watched that movie every single year since 1974 and sometimes when it's not even Christmas because I need my George fix, I watch it just to watch it... to get reconnected... I can't tell you how cathartic this has been for me to write this to you... I've honestly have not stop weeping writing these last couple of paragraphs... I've thought about these words to myself 1000's and 1000's of times but I've never taken the time to write it down because it wasn't time yet... I knew when the time was right I would write them...

Well Yesterday I wrote my post/blog about what put me in ICU at Piedmont Hospital... I did everything Dr. Carothers and those nurses told me to do x's 5... over that day while doing what I was told to do by my doc and nurses... I answered Texts... There was easily over 240 texts after I put up that Facebook post and I answered them all... I was blown away by the friends that reached out to me... from my buddy's that see me all the time to the bro's I haven't heard from in years and I mean years... some of them telling me I don't care if you need me at 3am because you need water just call me buddy I'm there... I had friends offering to fly across country just to be there to help... and this is just the tip of the ICEBERG it was overwhelming... really FUCKING OVERWHELMING... I felt a lot like Jake and Scott did when so many of you Amazing Friends/Fans stepped up to help my Boys with there INDIEGOGO FUNDS to help them to get their surgeries... It was Very Humbling and VERY EMOTIONAL... I told everyone I really didn't want any visitors except Bk but that wasn't going to stop some of closest people to me. Like Jim Mabes... who showed up in the ER room! I asked him what are you doing here... his response was, I just had to come. I said, You weren't going to be denied were you? He... No! or the mother of my two daughter... Linda and my daughter Kimi anyway, they showed up for an hour and then Bk came with all my food that her and Katie had made (you know I was NEVER going to eat hospital food) later that night my daughter Brittany and my future son-in-law Kris Benson showed up for couple of hours... Around 11pm they left and it was just me and my 80 emails... after I answered them I came here to FACEBOOK and once Again I was Overwhelmed by The caring... The Respect... The Commitment... The Loyalty... The Admiration and most of all The LOVE smile emoticon

All I could think of was OH MY GOD Tonight/TODAY YA'LL made me feel like I was that much closer to walking in George Bailey's foot steps and you know there is no better feeling YOU ALL could have given me...

Right after I finished reading and had BK edit this Dr. Carothers showed up... Did I tell you this DOC was one of the BEST on the Planet ( I Recommend him to EVERYONE!) So Doc does his tests on me and he's like DAMN you're sounding GOOD and WoW you've really put the work in! You're still going to need the operation but you can get out of this IC Unit and GO HOME if you PROMISE not to talk or yell UNLESS YOU NEED TO! Of course, I Promised! I go back in to see the Dr. Carothers on Wednesday and most likely will have the operation on Thursday or Friday and get these nodules removed and whatever else has to be done once he gets in there. Again I just want to THANK YOU ALL for being so Amazing!"
