UK Media Picks Up On Bret Hart-themed Banner For Liverpool Footballer

The press in the UK have picked up on a new banner unveiled last night during Liverpool FC's 1 - 1 draw with Chelsea, in the Capital One Cup Semi-Final, in tribute to soon departing captain and club icon, Steve Gerrard. The banner reads, "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be", a quote from former WWE Champion Bret "The Hitman" Hart, and includes an image of Gerrard with his back to the crowd showcasing his famous number eight jersey.

The UK Independent ran a story on the banner and attributed it to Hart this morning, with Ireland's Independent doing the same, as well as the Irish Mirror and many others.
