It seems like we just had Survivor Series, well it has only been 20 days. What a show that was, the wrestling world was all a buzz the day after. Now here we are on the day before TLC, a pay-per view that has so much potential, mainly because the use of tables, ladders, and chairs……and stairs. The reality is there is not ¼ of the buzz going in to TLC that Survivor Series had; there is no big debut, no big surprise. Well let me give you three reasons to get excited.
Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt: I can’t help but feel these two wrestlers held back a little at Survivor Series. They most likely did because they were well aware they would be having a match at TLC. I think these two wrestlers have been waiting for the match where they could go all out. Neither wrestler has really had that; as soon as one feud was coming to an end another feud would blend in. Wyatt appeared at the end of Dean’s match with Rollins, this left me feeling like Dean had more in the tank. I hope they let these two give 100% tomorrow night, and leave us all chanting “This is Awesome”. As fans we should defiantly be excited about this match.
#1 Contender: I will admit like most of you I have been disappointed not having a World Championship match on the par-per views. But, if this is done right and Cena loses it opens up a world of possibilities. Who would be the number one contender? How would they decide? They could have Rollins and others in a four way or six way match to decide. They could possibly hold a tournament, either way they could create some entertaining television. If Cena wins then we will have six Mondays of Cena vs. Lesnar hype. With 6 weeks between TLC and the Royal Rumble WWE has time to make this interesting, let’s hope they do.
The Brass Ring: Let’s remember Survivor Series was the day before Vince McMahons infamous “brass ring” comment. Then after the NXT Takeover R Evolution, HHH referenced the brass rings again. The gist of what HHH said was his NXT wrestlers reached up for those rings with their performances. Throw in several superstars tweeting about it; you have fuel for the fire, the fire burning inside every WWE superstar. This will be each wrestler’s first chance to reach up for that brass ring on a pay-per view event. Who will steal the show, who will make everyone take notice of them, and who will fail? These are some pretty compelling questions. For me the “brass ring” story brings unlimited possibilities to the table for tomorrow night.
I have no idea what will happen tomorrow night, TLC may be the worse pay-per view of the year, or it could be the best. We as fans do not know what may happen, or what surprises WWE has in store for us. I am hoping I go away happy and entertained tomorrow night.
Here is my question to you the readers, which superstar do you think will reach up and grab the “brass ring” tomorrow night?
