The John Report: The WWE Raw Deal 10/20/14

The opening video package focused on the main event from last week's Raw when Dean Ambrose beat John Cena in a Contract on a Pole match.

The Hell in a Cell structure is there. Michael Cole mentioned the "double main event" at Hell in a Cell on Sunday, which is Rollins vs. Ambrose and Orton vs. Cena.

The Authority stable made up of Triple H, Kane, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton (all of whom are dressed in suits) walked to the ring with the HIAC structure above the ring. The announce team of Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and John Bradshaw Layfield welcomed us to the show.

Hunter said it will be a night that The Authority will be proud of and said that those three dudes he's with are in a 3 on 2 Handicap Match Street Fight against Cena & Ambrose. That was a mouthful. He did a promo about the HIAC structure, then added that we can watch it on WWE for just "nine ninety nine" thanks to the crowd for the support. Hunter said HIAC matches change your life and that he has won more HIAC matches than anybody else. Hunter went over the matches on Sunday: Cena vs. Orton and Ambrose vs. Rollins. How many times does he have to go over the same things?

Rollins spoke as the fans chanted "you sold out" at him. Yeah and he's main eventing. Fans are dumb. Rollins said his new nickname should be the "Undisputed Future of the WWE" and that "future" is the key word in that. He talked about how Ambrose won't have a future after he beats him.

Orton grabbed the microphone to say the real main event of Hell in a Cell is his match against Cena and that Orton is going to end the decade long rivalry once and for all. We've heard that before!

Hunter added that it's a double main event. He said Cena's match will be about opportunity because the winner will receive an opportunity with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. In other words, it's a number one contender's match. Orton ripped on the KC Royals, so the fans booed. He said he'll beat Cena and go on to beat Brock Lesnar. They didn't say when the match with Lesnar would be. Hunter said The Authority always wins.

Analysis: There really wasn't a lot to the promo. It's just the same thing they always say. The show opening promo has become a joke after all these years. While WWE thinks of it as a way to set up things for later in the show, it's really just a way to kill 10-15 minutes by going over the same things we already know. As for the #1 Contender thing, Cena lost to Ambrose last week and now he needs to win another match to get a title match. Of course he did beat Lesnar at NOC by DQ, but it's weird that he gets rewarded. Then again, it's Cena. That's how they always book him.

There were highlights shown from Main Event when Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick when Damien Sandow was imitating Sheamus, which was hilarious. Sheamus entered for a match.

The others in the tag match made their entrances. The Usos didn't do their traditional entrance. Why have they stopped doing that? Lame. They should do it. The Hell in a Cell PPV will have Sheamus vs. Miz for the US Title and Stardust/Goldust vs. Usos for the Tag Titles, so that's why they're having this tag match.

Sheamus & The Usos vs. Damien Mizdow (w/The Miz), Goldust & Stardust

It was originally going to be The Miz in the match, but he put Mizdow in instead and Miz joined the announce team. The heels worked over Jey in predictable fashion to set up the part of the match where a babyface is in peril. They went to break about two minutes into it.

Back from break, Goldust hit a spinebuster on Jey as they continued to work on him. Mizdow did the backbreaker/neckbreaker combo that Miz does. His corner attack didn't work as Jey got his foot up to prevent it. Soon after, Jey created some space with a jumping kick to the head of Goldust. Mizdow tagged in just as Sheamus received the hot tag. Sheamus was on fire with a high running knee and then a running knee in the corner. Powerslam by Sheamus for two as Goldust made the save. Powerslam by Goldust on one of the Usos, then he took a Superkick. Dive over the top by one of the Usos and then Stardust hit the Falling Star (dive back first onto the pile of guys). Sheamus hit a cross body attack off the top to take everybody out. Brogue Kick by Sheamus on Stardust. Mizdow rolled up Sheamus and grabbed his tights. That was enough for the win after 9 minutes.

Winners by pinfall: Damien Mizdow, Goldust & Stardust

Post match, Miz celebrated by saying "I won" and he was happy with Mizdow.

Analysis: ** It was a standard tag match. No surprise that a champion got pinned without a title being on the line. The story is that Miz has beat Sheamus a few times although in this case it was Mizdow. None of the wins were that impressive or totally clean. I expect Sheamus to retain the US Title at Hell in a Cell. From there, it will likely lead to Sandow turning babyface after Miz goes on a losing streak and blames it on Sandow. The crowd is ready to cheer Sandow for being so awesome. They're going to capitalize on it soon.

The 3 on 2 Handicap Street Fight is later.

Triple H was in his office when Randy Orton walked up to him. He thanked Triple H for giving him a shot and he's going to beat Cena, then Brock Lesnar. Orton told Hunter he's going to make him proud while Triple H said he believes in him. Hunter said it was the idea of Seth Rollins. Orton said he was going to thank Rollins personally.

Analysis: The seeds for the Orton face turn continue because you can see he didn't like that Rollins had something to do with it.

There was a Wyatt Family video package with Bray Wyatt talking about Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. It was a creepy video like the others as Wyatt said the ones that are meant to protect you are the ones that you should fear the most. Wyatt talked about how "she" told him he was special. She told Wyatt he would have the spirit that would guide him on this journey. He said "It's Coming" while sitting in the rocking chair and laughing. Then the chair was rocking without him in it.

Analysis: It was another great video about the Wyatt Family. It could be leading to a female character being introduced into the Wyatt Family group. There was speculation that the three guys will go their separate ways, but there's no indication of that.

The Divas Champion AJ Lee entered the ring.

It was announced earlier today that AJ Lee will defend the Divas Title against Paige again.

AJ Lee vs. Alicia Fox (w/Paige)

It feels like we've seen this match before. Fox hit a standing side kick to knock Lee down. Fox hit a nice Northern Lights Suplex and then a backbreaker. Fox yelled "I hate you" at her. With Fox taunting, AJ did a comeback with a Thesz Press followed by some awful punches. Neckbreaker by AJ followed by a headscissors. Paige shoved Fox to try to motivate her. Then Paige jumped on the apron, Fox hit the rollup and of course it won the match after four minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Alicia Fox

Analysis: * How come divas can't kick out of rollups? They do that finish so often. The champion loses a non-title match. Typical WWE booking. It's hard to predict who will win on Sunday because they have had four title changes since April including two in the last two months. I'm probably picking AJ because she lost here.

Seth Rollins was in the locker room. Randy Orton showed up to thank him although Orton wondered why Rollins was looking out for him. He told Rollins to stay out of his business. Rollins told Orton to think about it and end his rivalry with Cena for good. Rollins suggested Orton could beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title and from there the future will take care of itself. Rollins held up the Money in the Bank briefcase. Orton just said "yeah" and left.

Analysis: Good continuation of this story. Rollins set up a match for Orton, but he isn't shy about letting him know he might cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase on him.

Hulk Hogan did some promo on the WWE Network after the show. I have no interest.

Randy Orton entered the ring for a promo as the Hell in a Cell cage hovered above the ring. He mentioned that it's not the first time that he and Cena have been inside a Hell in a Cell match. Orton mentioned that it seems like yesterday that it was 2002 when they were making their debuts. The fans were chanting "Let's Go Royals" for their baseball team, so Orton improvised by saying the Royals will not win and they will never win. The fans booed. He smiled: "Got your attention now?" Sort of. He spoke about how it was Hogan-Piper, Hart-Michaels, Rock-Austin and then Randy Orton and John Cena. That's a fair point. He said he respected Cena, but Cena's just a jacked up kid from Boston. "You can take your hustle, loyalty and respect and shove it up your ass." That was aggressive, but I liked it. He has never cared about fighting for what is right. Orton noted that he beat Cena the last time they faced off in a PPV was the Royal Rumble and that he beat him. It's true, but it was because of Bray Wyatt interfering. Orton said he'll beat Cena and savor every second of it. As he was trying to continue, Cena's music started up.

Analysis: That was a very intense and aggressive promo from Orton. I really liked the tone of it. He's not known as a great promo guy all the time, but that one worked well.

John Cena entered the ring and he told Orton to shut his mouth. He said everybody knows that Orton is gifted, but every time he talks he proves to the world that he's the biggest dumbass alive. Cena pandered to the fans by mentioning the KC Royals. Cena said that 2002 was the last time Orton was relevant. That's a terrible line since he was a rookie then and was WWE Champ this year, but I guess that counts as a diss. He sucked up to the Royals some more. Cena told Orton he wasn't going to win on Sunday because he's got his eyes on him. He explained to Orton that he wants to fight the beast Brock Lesnar. Cena said Orton's going to be locked in a cell with a man on a mission and that this Sunday Orton goes "face to face with the man that runs the place and hell is coming with me."

Analysis: That's the second week in a row where Cena said he was the "man that runs the place" so maybe that's his new thing.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's Paul Heyman! He walked down to the ring. He talked about how the class of 2002 featured Randy Orton, John Cena and Brock Lesnar, who conquered The Rock for the WWE Championship that year. It was also Batista's first year, but we won't mention him. Heyman noted that Lesnar was the WWE Champ in 2002 and 2014 also. Heyman entered the ring with both guys in there.

Heyman told them they're stepping into HIAC as equals, but his client has no equal. Heyman added that they were the ultimate loser because they have to stand in the ring with a beast, not a man. He told Orton he's always respected him. He said that Orton wants no part of his beast. Cena looked like he was about to leave. Heyman mentioned that Cena wants the title and the beast. He told Cena that if he gets by Orton then he has to face the beast Brock Lesnar and he said Lesnar's name the famous way that he always does.

Cena picked up Heyman for the Attitude Adjustment. Then he thought better of it. Orton grabbed Cena, spun him around and hit the RKO out of nowhere. Heyman was laughing about it. Orton walked up right beside him and he hit the RKO out of nowhere on Heyman. The crowd cheered that one. Orton threw Cena's hat into the crowd.

Analysis: The physical part was obvious. They did a good job with that segment. Heyman going into the ring wasn't very smart by him, but it was done to pop the crowd with Orton giving him the RKO. Both guys made good points. Then Heyman trash talked on behalf of Lesnar, so that was a smart addition to it. I've missed Heyman.

They aired replays of Orton hitting the RKO on Cena and then Heyman. Good job of selling it by Heyman.

Rusev (w/Lana) vs. Big E

It's a match we've seen several times. Big E was aggressive early on as he sent Rusev out of the ring and tossed him into the barricade. Fans chanted "USA" as Rusev applied a headlock. JBL said if Big Show can't knock off Rusev then nobody can. They had a sloppy exchange running the ropes, but then they corrected it and Rusev hit a spinning jump kick to knock down Big E. They went to break without anybody on the floor.

Big E made the comeback with a belly to belly suplex, but Rusev hit a standing side kick to the throat. Rusev applied the Accolade submission. Big E tapped out. It went about 7 minutes.

Winner by submission: Rusev

Analysis: *1/2 The match timing was off. They worked for three minutes, had a three minute break and had about one minute of action before the finish. It was a physical match, but nobody thought Big E was going to win. He's barely on the radar anymore, which is a shame. His stable with Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston hasn't been given a chance.

Post match, the lovely Lana said Big Show deserves to be in a circus as people laugh at him while he wallows in his own excrement. Rusev said he'll rip out Big Show's heart and devour it. He told him he'll fail his country and all the people will despise him for it. Lana wanted the hopeless Americans to rise for true red, white & blue. They posed, but no sign of the Russian flag beside them. Big Show appeared on the video wall. He laughed and then the American flag showed up as a patriotic song played.

Rusev and Lana were upset about the American flag. Rusev was about to rip it down. All of a sudden, some dude in camouflage attire entered the ring, a security guard stopped him and Rusev kicked him in the face. The American soldier was knocked out. The camera showed him getting checked on by doctors who put on the white gloves because he was bleeding. The camera was on the dude's face as they went to break.

Analysis: You can tell that the guy was a plant because the camera showed him in the ring and then zoomed in on his face. If it was a legit fan then they try to avoid showing it. It did a good job of making the situation look real. Hopefully it doesn't lead to people entering the ring to go after Rusev.

During the break, Big Show came out to help the fan to the back.

Big Show was in the ring looking distraught about what happened. He was nearly in tears as he said there are certain lines you do not cross. "Do not disrespect an American soldier ever." Show spoke slowly as he told Rusev that what he just did is going to make him unleash every bit of wrath inside him. "I am an American. I am a giant. At Hell in a Cell, Rusev, your 15 minutes in WWE is up." He called out Rusev for a fight right now. The fans chanted "USA" in support of him. Rusev didn't come out, so Show said he'll come to him.

Analysis: Good intensity shown by Big Show. I'm picking Rusev on Sunday, but they did a great job of adding to the storyline by making Rusev more of a despicable heel.

Show was shown walking backstage. He asked where Rusev was and he was pointed to his dressing room, which was conveniently right near where Show was. Show kicked open the door, walked in and nobody was there. Show left.

Analysis: The pursuit continues slowly because Big Show is not a fast dude.

Dean Ambrose was shown watching See No Evil 2. He had popcorn. John Cena showed up and Dean told him he was doing research for their match tonight as he pointed out that Kane was evil and sadistic. Ambrose said Cena's like Superman and Ambrose is like Batman because he likes to beat up scumbags. Cena put over the severity of their match. He wondered how they're going to handle it. Ambrose said that "Handicap street fights are my specialty" and that they're going to take down as many of them as they can. Cena said Ambrose isn't Batman, he's much more of a joker. Ambrose: "Why so serious?"

Analysis: I like the "Why so serious?" line since it was by the Joker in the Dark Knight film. One of my favorite movies ever. It's silly that Cena is so nervous considering he's been in every match in his career, yet Ambrose is calm about it. Lighten up, super Cena.

They mentioned that Stephanie McMahon was selected for an Eisenhower Fellowship. I really don't know much about it, but good for her for being honored for the work that she does.

Brie Bella vs. Summer Rae

The fans chanted "yes" as Brie was on offense while Nikki Bella was backstage fixing her hair and watching the match on the screen. Summer applied a chinlock and then slammed her down by the back of her head. They did a double hair whip spot, so both women were down. Brie did a comeback with a clothesline, then a dropkick and a running knee against the rope. The missile dropkick missed probably because she had to yell "Brie Mode" before it. Brie went back to the missile dropkick off the middle rope again and hit it. Brie hit the Bella Buster (X-Factor) for the win although Cole didn't call it that. The match went four minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Brie Bella

Post match, Nikki took a break from fixing her hair to try to show anger on her face. At least she tried. Brie led the crowd in "yes" chants. I miss Daniel Bryan. A lot.

Analysis: * The woman on the PPV beat the one not on the PPV. Standard booking. I'm probably picking Nikki at Hell in a Cell.

Here comes Dean Ambrose for a segment at the top of hour three. He had a huge duffle bag with him.

Plug time: Did you read my fantasy booking ideas for a Kurt Angle WWE return from Saturday? It was really fun to write. I got some amazing feedback to it that I'm still responding to. I think fans really want to see Angle back in WWE although it appears as though he's going to stay in TNA. Until it's official, you never really know.

The announcers plugged the WWE Network.

Dean Ambrose entered with his generic rock music and a duffel bag. I'm a huge fan of Ambrose although he needs a better song. Ambrose opened his bag and it was a mannequin that looked sort of like Seth Rollins. At least they got the hair right. He placed it on a chair. He called "Seth" a puppet for The Authority. He said he would do a favor for him at HIAC by ripping off his hands and then he ripped off one of the mannequin hands. "You're a smart guy, look at you, you're no dummy." Funny line. Ambrose took a screwdriver and destroyed the face of the mannequin. Then he said to "hammer this point home" he brought out a hammer. He brought out a saw because he said he saw himself chopping his testicles off, but he sold his testicles to the Authority so he can't do that. He took tongs to the groin of the mannequin as JBL said "ow" on commentary. Seth Rollins' music started up.

Analysis: I like Ambrose a lot and think he's arguably the best performer in WWE right now, but that wasn't a very good segment. They tried for comedy. It didn't work that well.

Seth Rollins showed up on the ramp with J&J Security (Mercury & Noble) with him. He told Ambrose he will never be able to beat him. Ambrose threw one of the hands at Rollins as the fans chanted "you sold out" at him. Rollins admitted that he did sell out. He spoke about how he grew up in the Midwest like the KC fans, but that's where the similarities end. He claimed that at a young age he was destined to be more than piece of trailer park trash. Rollins said he's famous, he's rich and he's somebody. Ambrose had a drill in his hand as he made threats at Rollins. Rollins said he doesn't sweat Ambrose or the Hell in a Cell.

Mick Foley's music hit! Wow. Nice surprise. The fans went wild as the WWE Hall of Famer entered rocking a Christmas shirt because that's what he does. The fans chanted "Foley" for him as he stood in the ring in between Ambrose and Rollins, who was on the apron.

Foley said he was there to visit an old friend (he pointed at Hell in a Cell). He talked about how his family was raving about The Shield when they saw him years ago. Foley told them that he watches Raw, Smackdown and subscribes to the WWE Network for an "undisclosed monthly sum." Quality line right there. Foley said when he thinks about this match, he envisions Rollins coming out victorious in their match. Rollins said that just when he thought that Foley was a crazy guy that dressed as Santa Claus, he finally makes sense. Foley said the HIAC is not a regular kind of match. He added that it was the 300th consecutive day that he has worn Santa Claus themed attire. The fans cheered that. He mentioned the scars that happened at Hell in a Cell in 1998 and he's proud of the contributions he's made to this business. Foley told them the scars will last a lifetime and the emotional wounds will not heal. The fans chanted "Thank You Foley" for him.

Ambrose told Foley he lost his innocence years ago in more ways than one. He told Foley that nobody understands him, but he knows that Foley might be able to get him just a little bit. He wonders if Rollins will be ready the way he was. He told Seth to ask himself if he's ready for it.

Rollins said he gets it and that they're both crazy. He told Ambrose he's out of his damn mind, but he's going to beat him. Rollins told them that his brain is way above them. Rollins: "It's not about how crazy you are, it's about how smart you are."

Foley said that this match will go on to define them. He looks at his life pre-Cell and post-Cell. He said both guys remind the fans of the audience and then he mentioned Kansas City by tying it into the Royals being in the World Series for the first time in 29 years. On Sunday night, the two of them get the match they've been waiting for their entire lives. "Have a nice day."

Ambrose tried to attack with a chair, but Rollins left. Ambrose threw the mannequin at Rollins and friends. I think Noble took a bump off the mannequin. They had a staredown to end the segment.

Analysis: That was a fantastic promo segment to build up that match. Foley was the perfect guy to add to the storyline because we didn't expect it. What he said made a lot of sense. It was also fitting that he was there to tell them how crazy of a match the Hell in a Cell is and that it's a career defining match. Nobody knows it better than him. Both guys made good points too. Rollins is the smarter man that's a thinker while Ambrose is a loose cannon that was built to be in a fight like this. I'm really looking forward to the match. Ambrose is probably going to be my pick although that could change by the weekend.

Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro were shown walking backstage separately in preparation for a match coming up next.

Prior to the next match, JBL mentioned the death of Ox Baker, who died at the age of 80.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro

This is not for Ziggler's IC Title. That should tell you who wins. Cole mentioned Twitter comments and JBL mentions that guys used to fight over beer & chicks, but now they fight over tweets. True. That's why WWE stories are lame. Ziggler was on fire early. Cesaro came back by dropping him throat first across the top rope, which led to the commercial break. He's not on the floor. What a controversial commercial break.

Cesaro did a press slam as he dropped Ziggler down onto his knee. Elbow off the middle rope by Cesaro. Cesaro draped Ziggler's head across the top rope, then he climbed to the top and Ziggler hit a dropkick. Nice spot. Ziggler fired up with clotheslines, a corner splash and a neckbreaker. Cesaro was going for a butterfly suplex, but Ziggler countered it into a facebuster. That was an even better spot. Wow. Ziggler went for a superkick, Cesaro caught him, spun him around and then there was a huge uppercut by Cesaro out of nowhere. That was enough for the win after 10 minutes.

Post match, Cesaro hit a Neutralizer to send a message.

Analysis: **1/2 Any time these two wrestle I want them to get 20 minutes because they're so good. Ten minutes is good, but not long enough. How many times has Ziggler lost in the last month? I've lost count. It's too much. It's probably going to lead to an IC Title match.

The Authority was in the locker room arguing. More specifically, Orton was arguing with Rollins. Triple H showed up to say that Kane would be the general. Kane yelled at Orton & Rollins and told them to put aside their differences. Kane told them it's time to give Cena & Ambrose a taste of hell.

The Hell in a Cell Kickoff is Mizdow TV with The Miz as a guest and Paul Heyman joins the panel to talk about the PPV. It starts at 7pmET. I'll be watching the NFL, but I'll see the PPV after the game on Sunday night.

There was a Hell in a Cell "By The Numbers" video. They do it for the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank, so it's cool to see it for HIAC too. It noted the first HIAC match was Undertaker vs. Michaels on October 5, 1997. That was Kane's debut. It's also one of the best matches ever. The most men in a HIAC match was 6, which was at Armageddon 2000 although they didn't say the PPV name. It mentioned Undertaker and Triple H each had 6 wins. This year will be Orton's 6th HIAC match. The longest HIAC match was HHH/Michaels at 47:26 at Bad Blood 2004 although they didn't say the PPV name. They said only 11 men have won HIAC matches. The Undertaker has had 12 HIAC matches, which is the most. Since its inception, 29 men have entered and 18 would never do so again. The end of the promo focused on the two HIAC matches.

Analysis: Outstanding video. Good stats. That did a fantastic job of selling fans on the importance of the match.

There was another Wyatt Family video. It was the same video from earlier in the show.

John Cena made his entrance for the main event followed by Dean Ambrose.

The Authority guys entered with Kane first, then Orton and then Rollins.

Handicap Street Fight: John Cena & Dean Ambrose vs. Kane, Randy Orton & Seth Rollins

This is a street fight yet they're standing on the apron waiting for tags like a normal tag. What the hell? It's a street fight! You can go into the ring any time, fight any time you want and use weapons all you want. Why are they standing on the apron? What's the point of having stipulations if you completely ignore them? Cena saved Ambrose from getting attacked by the three dudes, but Ambrose took everybody with a dive off the announce table. Ambrose hit Rollins in the ribs with a chair and then a chair shot to the back. Ambrose pulled a table out from under the ring. Kane slammed the back of his head against it. Show went to break there.

Back from break and Cena was looking for a tag from Ambrose, who was getting attacked by Rollins. Why wait for a tag when you can just go in the ring to attack the guy? The heels isolated Ambrose in their corner while Cena stood on the apron like an idiot. Ambrose kicked Orton and then hit a missile dropkick. Hot tag to Cena, who cleaned house on everybody.

Cena hit the shoulder tackles, then the spinning suplex and Five Knuckle Shuffle to Rollins. Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Kane easily. Cena brought the table into the ring. Rollins tossed Cena into the turnbuckle where a steel chair was wedged between the top/middle ropes. Orton whipped Ambrose into the steel steps. Ambrose was out on the floor. Rollins set up a table against the turnbuckle. He hit a flipping neckbreaker for two. Kane took control. He threw Cena into the table that was against the turnbuckle. Kane signaled to somebody to bring the Cell down, so while the match was going on, the Hell in a Cell was lowered.

They continued to work the match with the Cell surrounding the ring. Cena made the hot tag to Ambrose. He hit a dive on the three heels. Dropkick by Ambrose on Rollins that sent Rollins into the cage. Clothesline by Ambrose on Orton. Ambrose attacked Orton with the kendo stick and hit a legsweep. Ambrose jumped off the ropes with a chair. He nailed Orton with it. Ambrose hit Kane with a chair. Back body drop by Ambrose on Rollins, who landed on Orton. A table leg was sticking out and Orton went into it. Ouch. Orton yelled "fuck" and tossed it aside. Ambrose hit a dive on Rollins that sent them both into the cage. Fans chanted "this is awesome" because they're easy to please.

Back in the ring, Kane hit Cena with a Chokeslam. Ambrose hit the Dirty Deeds on Kane. Orton hit the RKO on Ambrose. Orton covered Ambrose and that was enough for the win for The Authority. The match went 19 minutes.

Winners by pinfall: Kane, Randy Orton & Seth Rollins

Analysis: ***1/4 It was a very good main event even though they completely ignored the rules of the match for the first half of it. My ranting above should explain that aspect of it. Once the weapons were used, the cage got lowered and the finishes were hit the action picked up from there. Orton getting the pin on Ambrose suggests that Orton is going to lose to Cena (win on TV, lose on PPV) and Ambrose is probably going to beat Rollins too. It could be a big night for the babyfaces on Sunday.

Post match, Orton was on hands and knees, so Rollins went up to him and nailed the Curb Stomp. The announcers freaked out that Rollins would hit the Curb Stomp on his ally in The Authority. All four guys were down with Rollins as the last man standing. They aired replays.

Rollins climbed up to the top of the Hell in a Cell structure. He stood on top of it looking happy with the work he did. JBL said Rollins is so smart. His music played to end the show.

Analysis: That was a nice twist at the end with Rollins attacking his teammate. They are not a cohesive unit. Most likely what's going to happen at Hell in a Cell is that Rollins loses to Ambrose and Orton loses to Cena. Then Orton is going to turn babyface soon after to have the obvious feud with Rollins. They will need to get some other heels elevated because the babyface side is going to be strong with Roman Reigns coming back soon too.

Final Thoughts

It gets a 6.5 out of 10, which is above last week and above the average. It was a promo heavy show without any truly great matches, but nothing was really that bad.

I just think they did a pretty good job of building up the two main matches at Hell in a Cell. Each match got promo segments devoted to them with appearances from Paul Heyman and Mick Foley also mixed in. Then they were involved in the main event of the show. It was a busy night for Orton, Cena, Ambrose and Rollins. That's for sure.

At least there was no sign of The Bunny, the gator or the mini bull. That's a positive.
