Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio has taken to twitter over the weekend to talk about racism but he also posted that the truth about what caused the WWE to fire him will soon become known.
To recap, social media manager for WWE live events Cody Barbierri is alleged to have insulted Alberto’s Mexican heritage causing Del Rio to slap him and this is believed to have led to his release. However recently, it come to light that an incident several months prior to this in which Barbierri made a bad joke toward Del Rio using the Mexican slang for slut.
Del Rio won a lawsuit against WWE regarding the 90 day no-compete clause in his contract meaning he is now free to wrestle without any restrictions.
