WWE aired an injury update on Roman Reigns on the WWE Network on Saturday some 90 minutes after it was originally advertised.
Scott Stanford provided the update from the WWE Studio in Stamford, Connecticut in which he conducted an interview with WWE physician Chris Amann, who said Reigns underwent successful surgery for a hernia and the injury was not a result of anything that occurred in the ring.
Amann noted that the recovery time for this type of surgery could be anywhere from four to twelve weeks.
No update was provided on if Seth Rollins will face a new opponent at Sunday's Night of Champions.
