WWE Begins Removing Michael Sam References From Their Website

The news that Michael Sam has signed with the Dallas Cowboys practice squad means WWE's attempts to lure him in for next week's Raw are over.

WWE began removing all references of their invite from their website, YouTube and social media.

The company posted the following statement of congratulations on their website:

"Congratulations to Michael Sam on signing with the Dallas Cowboys! WWE will extend its invitation for Michael Sam to appear on any future Monday Night Raw he wishes. We offer our support for Michael as he continues his journey."
