Revealed: How Daniel Bryan's Injury Changed Major WWE Storyline

Posted By: Ben Kerin on Aug 25, 2014
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

We previously reported, Vince McMahon and Triple H being were "butting heads" over who will face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 next year, with McMahon want The Rock and Hunter wanting Roman Reigns.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported Reigns vs. Lesnar was decided around the time of WrestleMania XXX in April, although as we all know future WrestleMania plans are subject to extensive changes.

WWE had originally planned for Lesnar to go up against Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam and Night of Champions however, those storylines were transferred to John Cena when Bryan got injured.

The culmination of this storyline would have seen Reigns save the day and end Lesnar's dominance as WWE Champion, this may still happen if Triple H has his way.
