The Wrestling Observer reports that Vince Russo was fired by TNA Executive Vice President John Gaburick and it was not his decision to leave like he originally made out on Twitter. He tweeted:

"Officially DONE w/TNA. Today they "suggested" a break, I declined. Finality was better for me.Details coming"

Today Russo took a shot at PWInsider.com for attaining this information suggesting they "tapped" his phone:

"Interesting. Appears a rep from Phoney Wrestling Information (PW!) tapped my phone yesterday to hear if I quit or got fired. Sneaky bastards"
