A Strange Twist On The TNA/SpikeTV Cancellation News

We reported late Sunday evening that Spike TV has opted not to renew a television deal with TNA according to a report by TMZ.com and the belief within the company is that once their current contract ends a new home will need to be found for Impact Wrestling. In a strange twist, TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted on Twitter Monday:

 "Negotiations with @SpikeTV are ongoing"

She added:

"Stay tuned and be sure to tune in this Thursday night for Ultimate X on #ImpactOnSpike!!"

Viacom, parent company of SpikeTV issued the following brief statement:

"Per Viacom company policy - we don’t comment on ongoing negotiations."
