WWE Superstars Roman Reigns and Titus O'Neil have opened up about their troubled childhoods in an interview with TBO.com.
Reigns and O'Neil are currently both part of a campaign by WWE and the AdCouncil about the importance of fatherhood.
In the interview, Reigns stated that he was "quick to fight as a youth" and ended up spending five years at the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch in an attempt to set him straight. Reigns had the following to say about the situation:
"I think a lot of it was because I didn't have that strong male role model in my life. That's important. So at an early age I knew if I had children that I would be in my kids' life no matter what so they never had to deal with any of the issues I had to as a youth."
O'Neil, meanwhile, revealed that he was conceived as the result of his grandmother's boyfriend raping his mother, who was only 11 years old at the time. He also stated that his mother was pushed to have an abortion after she became pregnant, but she refused to do so. O'Neil had the following to say:
"I love my mom. We're close. She did a lot for me."
