BREAKING NEWS: ECW Office Worker Damien Farren Passes Away

F4WOnline.com has just broke that ECW office worker and right hand man of Shane Douglas, Damien Farren passed away this morning according his longtime friend Cody Michaels.

Farren also worked with Douglas on the recent Extreme Rising promotion.

Gabe Sapolsky tweeted:

Tributes...

Lou D'Angeli (Lou E. Dangerously, Sign Guy Dudley): "What made ECW so special was not just the product but the people behind the scenes who made the unthinkable happen. Damien Farren was one of those ones making the unthinkable happen by doing whatever he had to do. I can't say we kept in-touch post ECW because we didn't but that's life. Regardless it still saddens me to hear of his passing and to see all the people he touched is truly amazing. It's always sad when one of the "Originals" passes on."

Harry Grivas (Harry Slash of the Slashtones): "I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Damien Farren. He was a rare kind, giving and loving person and a truly unique individual. There are many unsung heroes from ECW and Damien was one the best. My heart goes out to his family at this time. Rest in peace Damien, you will be missed."

Joel Gertner: "I feel punched in the heart and saddened beyond words to hear about the passing of Damien Farren . He was a member of the original ECW front office/admin staff and worked closely with the Franchise Shane Douglas. I believe he is interviewed in the Barbed Wire City documentary.
I just recently started speaking with him more frequently through Facebook, and am pretty sure it was just a week or two ago that we told each other how great it would be to hang out sooner than later. RIP Damien ... Thank you ... Love you, Brother..."

Brian Heffron (Blue Meanie): "Saddened by the news that Damien Farren has passed away. Such a great guy. Such horrible news. Rest in peace my friend!! Damien Farren was one of ECW's unsung heroes. He did a lot of behind the scenes work and had the love and respect of all who he worked with."

Rob Feinstein: "Just got horrible news that my friend Damian Farren passed away. I talk with him almost 4 times a week on here and just talked with him a few days ago. I traveled the roads with him in Ecw this is horrible. Speechless as I knew he was battling health issues back home but never expected this. You would all know him as the ecw merch guy and he was close with Shane Douglass. So depressed. I will post more when I return home. He was such a funny guy to be around and his laugh will never be forgotten. Now he is with Doug and they can talk shop."

Mike Johnson (of PWinsider): "So very sad to hear of the news of Damien Farren's passing. Damien was never anything but great to me all the years ECW existed and we stayed in regular touch via Facebook talking about where life had taken us. He was very involved with ECW's merchandise and knew better than most the inner workings there. I always thought he was a good dude and I am extremely sad for his family home in Ireland and all of his friends here Stateside. Goodbye my friend."
