Today is the 18th anniversary of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's King of the Ring ’96 victory speech which is cited as the beginning of the "Austin 3:16" tag line, and the starting point of the Attitude Era.

The Texas Rattlesnake uttered these words and the rest was history:

"You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere! Talk about your Psalms, talk about John 3:16... Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your a$s!"
