According to a report, the way that Rusev and Lana are currently being pushed on television is said to be derived from the way that the late Eddie "Umaga" Fatu and his manager Armando Alejandro Estrada were pushed back in 2006.

As fans may recall, Umaga went undefeated in WWE for a long period of time, roughly nine months, before ultimately being defeated by John Cena when the WWE Championship was on the line. Umaga would defeat the likes of Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kane, and others before ultimate falling to Cena.

If Rusev's push is inspired by Umaga's, then one could assume that Rusev may go undefeated for some time and possibly start to pick up some big victories along the way.
